HOU-R's Torres Collects June Batting Honor Friday, July 1st , 2016 Juan Torres may be much younger than other hitters in the BSBL R2, but he performed like a seasoned veteran in June to win the Batter of the Month award. The 22-year-old HOU-R second baseman hit .337 with 9 home runs, 17 RBIs and 18 runs scored. Torres is batting .344 this year with 16 home runs, 45 RBIs and 39 runs scored. He has 54 hits in 157 at-bats. |
