Eagles, Allen Blank REN-R, 2-0 Saturday, August 29th , 2015 It wasn't easy but the DAL-R Eagles made it look that way. Starter Mike Allen shut out the REN-R Silver Sox despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the DAL-R Eagles cruised to victory, 2-0. Allen allowed only 3 hits and rang up 6 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up." His record for the year is 3-4 in 7 starts and Allen has a 4.53 ERA. View Boxscore |
