Quintana Collects Cycle Friday, August 21st , 2015 Luis Quintana accomplished one of the rarer feats in baseball when he hit for the cycle against the LB-R Ports in the 15-4 HOU-R Lone Stars win at Big Stick Park. Afterward, Quintana acknowledged that his accomplishment was special, but said he was more interested in helping the Lone Stars win. "Maybe one day I'll look back on this with more meaning, but right now I just want to go out tomorrow and put some good swings on the ball and help my club win another game," Quintana said. On his historic day, he went 4-for-5 with 5 RBI and 4 runs scored -- and also got a spot in the history books. Luis Quintana singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit a two-run triple in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 7th. Quintana has a .261 average and a .367 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 83 hits, 4 home runs and driven in 48 runs. View Boxscore |
