Soto Hits 3 Homers Against OAK-R Saturday, August 1st , 2015 In a powerful performance that left the fans at Shockers Grove buzzing, DEN-R Grizzlies center fielder Carlos Soto blasted a trio of home runs en route to a win, 8-4, over the OAK-R Acorns. "Everything was clicking," Soto told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them." Soto shined brilliantly in the win, with 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Grizzlies manager said. "Carlos played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game." Carlos Soto doubled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Mike Armstead in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 8th. To date, Soto has collected 14 hits for a .209 average. He has posted 6 home runs, scored 9 runs and driven in 11 runs. |
