Eureka Blanks Jets, Pinheiro at His Best Tuesday, June 28th , 2016 Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Edwards AFB Jets as starter Domingo Pinheiro shut them out, 1-0, at Ballpark of Vallejo. The Eureka pitcher struck out 6 and walked 1 while allowing 6 hits. "Pinheiro was good but he wasn't flawless," Edwards AFB manager said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Eureka, but this is on us." This year, Pinheiro is hitting .218 with 5 home runs and 13 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .257 clip and scored 26 runs. View Boxscore |
