No-Hitter for Brown Tuesday, June 28th , 2016 Tommy Brown made easy work of the Grand Island Coppers at Ballpark of Santa Ana, tossing a no-hitter for the Butler Penguins. In a superlative outing, he registered 12 strikeouts and allowed 4 walks, leading the Penguins as they defeated the Coppers, 1-0. "I really didn't have my best stuff today," he admitted after the game. "There's a lot of luck involved in throwing a no-hitter. But some days it's better to be lucky than good." Either way, Brown earned himself a place in the history books. For the year, Brown has a 5-8 record with a 3.50 ERA in 17 starts. View Boxscore |
