Williams Bashes 6 Base Hits Monday, June 27th , 2016 Speaking with reporters after a dominating hitting performance, Robert Williams said his club's tilt with the Lincoln Logs "felt almost like batting practice." The 23-year-old center fielder went a remarkable 6-for-8 at the plate. "I saw the ball well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted," he recalled later. However, his sensational day wasn't enough for the Boise Redskins, who were topped by the Logs, 13-7. "It's a good lesson for him, I guess," Redskins manager said. "Sometimes Robert is going to lose. But I would rather him go 6-for-8 and lose than go 0-for-8 and lose." Robert Williams singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th, flied out in the 10th, singled in the 13th and singled in the 15th.
