Ángel Mejía Wins PCAA Trophy Monday, July 4th , 2016 Ángel Mejía went on a hitting spree last week against Pacific AA pitchers and today copped the Player of the Week Award. The Vernon Comets center fielder peppered the opposition with 8 hits in 18 at-bats, 3 home runs, 7 RBIs and 7 runs scored. In the last 6 games he hit .444 with an on-base percentage of .545. Thus far this year, Mejía is batting .253 with 11 home runs, 51 RBIs and 43 runs scored. |
