Huff Socks 2 Homers in 5-3 Win
|
Led by Tom Huff, the San Bernardino Stallions downed the Los Angeles Angels, 5-3. Huff was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Stallions. Leslie Hill picked up the win with 7 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 6 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 8. On the season, he is now 2-1. The Angels, 10-14, continue their sluggish start to the 2016 campaign.
Huff had a timely hit for San Bernardino in the top of the eighth. With San Bernardino trailing 3-2, he turned a first pitch fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season, making it 5-3, San Bernardino.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said San Bernardino manager Brick B. "It's usually not just one thing."
